Tri-Motor & Machinery Inc. is a family owned business started by Ron Roberts back in 1981. His son, Joe Roberts, joined the company in 1993, buying into and becoming Vice President in 1985.
Ron Roberts worked in the Industrial Motor Business since 1972 after getting out of the Navy. He started his own company called Certified Electric in 1974 which he later sold to Georgia Pacific but remained working there for 8 years until he started TriMotors and Machinery Inc. The “Tri” in Trimotors comes from three partners that began the company. Ron later bought them out and moved their shop from Tualatin to Canby Oregon where they are still located to this day.
They have a highly equipped 10,000 square foot shop in the Industrial area of Canby as well as a 2500 square foot warehouse located close by.
Tri-Motor & Machinery Inc. specializes in Industrial AC and DC Electric Motors. We sell and repair new motors. We are a distributor for WEG, but also deal with Baldor, Tatung, and many other manufacturers.
